Some Great French Wines from Robert Kacher Selections

Our constant search for the greatest values in wine from around the world has led us, logically, to Robert Kacher. In the world of wine Roberts name is legendary. He is possibly the greatest importer of wines from France; in particular the Rhone Valley and southern France. 22 years ago Robert founded Robert Kacher Selections. His goal with the new company was to associate himself with the growers and producers who had both the passion and energy to strive to become among their country’s most renowned winemakers. Through his hands-on approach of working side by side with growers and producers, Bobby is able to ensure the quality and authenticity of every wine in his collection. His dedication and passion for the wine business has resulted in numerous awards and accolades: Recently Robert Parker named him “one of the 20 most influential wine personalities of the past 20 years.” In 2004 Bobby became Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole, one of only a handful of U.S. importers to ever receive the prestigious honor.

Now his wines are at Valley Wines and Spirits; how lucky for us all!

For this Blog I have decided to talk about just a couple of the over twenty Kacher wines that we are now representing.

Exclusive Interview With
"The Girls In The Vineyard"
Winemaker Rob McDonald

We recently had the pleasure to meet, and interview Rob McDonald, wine maker for The Girls In The Vineyard Cabernet. Rob is also known as the man responsible for importing some of the best Australian wines (D'Arenberg amongst others) into the U.S. We really enjoyed talking with Rob, and I'm sure you'll enjoy viewing the video.
